Retired Dogs for Rehoming

Due to having to undergo surgery that will limit my own ability to walk for at least 12 months, I have made the very sad decision to retire some of our dogs/bitches and attempt to find them new homes.

We will not be producing any more litters after this year, for the foreseeable future.

I have not taken this decision lightly, and they will only go to the very best home. Please read the descriptions carefully before contacting us.

All dogs will be castrated/neutered before finding their new homes. We want to stay in contact with each of these dogs, and would love for them to come to our yearly beach picnic etc.

We ask for £500 rehoming fee to ensure they are going to committed homes.

Dumbledore - Dumbledore is a 7yo smooth-coated male who has been a show and stud dog here since a puppy. Dumbledore has won at many champ shows, qualified for Crufts every year, and sired some beautiful pups, but he is now ready to enjoy a quieter life.

Dumbledore is BAER hearing tested, DNA tested for PLL, LOA, SCA, DM and HUU. He is a healthy, happy boy who thrives on attention and loves cuddles.

He is very good with other dogs, and has never shown any aggression, although he has been a stud dog, so may be protective over a female if another male is about (even though he is castrated). He is fine with our house cats, but has chased the feral cats, so to be safe I'd say preferably a home with no small furries.

He walks very well on the lead and has good recall on a walk (we always walk off lead). He was house-trained and crate-trained, but has been kennelled for the last few years, so may take a little while to settle back into a home routine. However, he did spend several months in the house last year, and was exceptional with no accidents. Good to travel in the car, very good with people and children.

Daisy - Daisy is a 7yo broken-coated female who was bred by us, had a successful show career, winning at championship shows and placing at Crufts, and went on to produce three beautiful litters of pups to continue her legacy. I would love to find her a one-to-one home where she can enjoy a peaceful retirement, been doted on as an only dog (or with one other dog) - this is purely because I want her to be centre of attention, she is absolutely fine with other dogs.

Daisy is BAER hearing tested, DNA tested for PLL, LOA, SCA, DM and HUU. She is a healthy, happy girl who thrives on attention, although will also happily amuse herself too. She is absolutely fine left alone. Daisy has been spayed.

She is very good with other dogs, and has never shown any aggression, although I would love for her to be an only 'child'. She was raised around our cats, and never showed any interest in them, but I couldn't guarantee this would be the case with others, so I would prefer a home with no small furries - she is still a terrier!

Daisy walks very well on the lead and has good recall on a walk (we always walk off lead). She was house-trained and crate-trained, but has been kennelled for the last few years, so may take a little while to settle back into a home routine. However, all of our dogs do rotate into the house for several months a year, and she has always been very good when settled back in, so I don't think this will take too long.  Good to travel in the car, very good with people and children.

Daisy could be rehomed with Dumbledore as a bonded pair - these two live together when kennelled and get on very well.
